After several days of heavy rain and strong winds the River Meon has burst its banks along most of its length.

Many of the fields alongside the river and canal are feet underwater.
At Bridge Street the river is flowing across the road causing most, but not all, drivers to turn around.
There are some ‘Flood’ signs but’ the road has not been closed.
At the moment there are no Flood Warnings for the area but, given the amount of rain expected to fall right across the South, the situation can very quickly change.
