British Gas help with Jigsaws

Planters and wall planters, made from pallets

Planters and wall planters, made from pallets

Jigsaws Pre-school, based within the Scout Hall at Titchfield Community Centre, were delighted to have British Gas help with a Charity Day to help set up their garden area next to the Community Centre.

They built planters and filled them with 17 bags of soil.  They made wall planters from pallets, put 3 tonnes of wood clippings down and cut back the brambles.

They made a drain cover to make the area safe for the children and then made a Mud Kitchen for the children to use.

Jigsaws are so grateful for the work that was carried out because it means the plans for planting can now take place for September when the children return to pre-school.

There are lots of lovely plans including a vegetable patch, a herb garden, water planter, and lots of lovely bits to add to the area, including a bug hotel, bird feeders and scarecrows.

Jigsaws would like to say thank you to Steve, Jack, Neal, Sonny, Steve and Mark from British Gas for their amazing help.

They were happy with their constant supply of tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes, and of course lunch from the Bakers!
